For 14 years I’ve said I was going to start a design/ lifestyle blog, and today is the day.
Sunday I broke my nose. It is the first time I broke anything, and guess how? Moving one of my favorite chairs around in my house. It’s constantly like musical furniture in my casa, I love rearranging…but the nose breaking thing…well…that sucked. It was a lightbulb moment that my first blog M U S T be about my favorite California bungalow inspired side chairs. I am going to give you my top 5 that make my heart flutter.
We will start with the chair that broke my nose and one of the best deals out there. I add a sheepskin because I think the cushion makes the chair look inexpensive. But once the sheepskin is over the cushion, I think it could totally pass for a Serena & Lily chair.

Next up is this lovely that looks supah high-end! I love how it feels a little bit more pulled together than some of the other rattan chairs. The super thick cushion and the design of the back is spot on.

I drooled over this Net Chair for almost two years…yes….two years!!! It’s comfy and it makes such an impact in A N Y space, that I finally broke open my piggy bank and got it. Haven’t regretted it for a minute. I added a little sheepskin to the cushion for a little more texture. It’s hands down my fav!!!

I love the simplicity but bulk of this chair by Foersom + Hiort-Lorenzen for Cane-line. The cushion is sold separately but comes in a few different colorways. You could save some dough if you just use a sheepskin and it would still be A-MAZ-ING.

And my last pick is one of my other favorites, which I also have (although mine has black trim and is no longer available.) I love that it is handwoven and has a high back. The bamboo has some give so it makes the chair super comfy. I feel like a queen when I am sitting in it, now if only someone would stand near me fanning me and feeding me grapes, life would be A-MAZ-ING. Oh, and I, of course, add a sheepskin for some texture.
